Thinstep stores the least we need to run your account: who you are, how you scored your life areas, and the goals, actions, check-ins, and optional assistant messages you choose to keep.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, password hash or Google sign-in, plan status.
- Product data: assessments, scores, goals, actions, check-ins, and assistant messages if you use that feature.
- Billing: Creem collects payment details. We receive plan, status, and invoice events, not your full card number.
- Technical: cookies needed to stay signed in, and basic device/browser data to keep the app secure.
Why we use it
To create your account, show your dashboard, recommend one next step, run the optional in-app assistant if you are on a paid plan, take payment through Creem, and send essential email (confirm, reset password, billing).
Who helps us
- Hosting and database for the app and your records.
- Authentication (email and Google).
- Creem as Merchant of Record for paid plans.
- An inference provider for the optional Pro and Premium assistant. Prompts include the context you typed and relevant scores — not a general chatbot for the public.
How long we keep it
We keep account and product data while your account is open. You can ask us to delete the account at hello@thinstep.app. Billing records may be kept by Creem as required by tax law.
Your choices
You can edit your name and email in Settings, change or cancel a plan, and set a new password. Depending on where you live, you may also ask for a copy of your data or to have it erased.
Children
Thinstep is not directed at children under 16.
